I had the best day watching the cross country this year, the course was absolutely brilliant and I’m still in awe at how easy the horse and riders make it look! I wore the Half Philippa scrunchie and the Country Scrunchie Club t-shirt (coming soon). I am 100% manifesting a small stand there one year 💫

Here are three things I learned and to note for next time:
1. When you park your car, either pin it on your maps or take notice of the number. We spent 20 minutes looking for the car after 🤣
2. Shop once cross country has started so there is actually space to move!
3. Try not to worry what people think and take the photos! I get so out of my comfort zone taking pictures in public that I missed some really great opportunities.

I can’t wait for next year and I hope to see some of you there 🤍

What a year it’s been and honestly, looking back I am so proud of what I have achieved when at times I didn’t believe in myself at all.

I bought myself a sewing machine at the beginning of June and after watching YouTube videos and lots of practice, I made my first scrunchies. At the end of July I took on a part time job alongside my other job, working until 11pm 3 nights a week. Mentally it took a toll, working two jobs, being a mum and honestly just life at times. But this is what I love doing, so I had to make it work.

September - After sourcing the fabrics I wanted to use I launched my country collection. I made sales on Etsy and gained 5 star reviews ⭐️

October - With the help of YouTube (again) I taught myself how to make bows and added these to my Etsy store.

November - I launched my Christmas collection but with work commitments I missed every Christmas market and craft fair.

December (two weeks before Christmas) - After I reached out, I was invited to sell my Christmas collection at the Christmas Collective pop up shop @10.market.place in my home town. I was honoured to be able to sell my scrunchies and bows with amazing local makers and small businesses. I also made the decision to rent a shelf in @collectivelymadewells to stock my products in a shop along side my Etsy. I made sales in both stores in the two weeks leading up to Christmas, and honestly I didn’t think I would.

I’ve had some amazing opportunities and met the most amazing people in these last couple of months and I couldn’t be more grateful.

To everyone that has supported me this year, thank you! Thank you for the sales, the follows, the shares and the lovely comments, it means the absolutely world to me.
